Yessum, see the post a little bit above. There's also one tucked away in Ring of Fire, and there's also one in each of the other Fire Isle Missions, though I've never gotten an infuse off of them, but perhaps it's possible to.

You can easily get 2 infusions without fighting a single mursaat, and the 3rd facing very few, and by the 3rd infusion, Spectral Agony is at about 1/8 its potency compared to someone who is fully uninfused. That's more than enough for a competent team to deal with it.

Again the issue isn't that players are forced to run the same mission 5 times, it's that infusion runs are the path of least resistance, so you end up with this self imposed grind.

Or perhaps not self imposed - it's nigh impossible to get a pickup in any of the Fire Islands missions if you haven't already infused everything. So, perhaps, it's imposed by the Guild Wars community upon itself, a self-inflicted rule for everyone to complain about...

Eh, at least there's one infusion quest that you can do with henchies. Good luck fighting your way to the far side of Mineral Springs with henchie AI.

Peace,
-CxE

Well, as fun as infusion runs are, I think they were just made to make Mursaat easier...

I personally, have taken down hordes of Mursaat before with only my one piece of armor infused, and with henchies nonetheless. If you really want to complain, at least don't complain about something like that. I can take Mursaat on easily, with HENCHIES which people keep telling me are worse than real people...

Not true now I guess...I did all three acension quests with henchies because people kept screwing them up. I have partied few times with real people, one time was to get a friend to Augury Rock, and the other times were because I wanted someone to talk to in the Ascalon Missions(even a retarded monkey could do those quests though)

I really don't feel it's a valid complaint to say doing infusion runs is annoying when you only need one piece infused to be effective. Sure, it'd be great if it was programmed to get you the full exploits with minimum effort..but then it'd be too easy for the lazy people to become good against the Mursaat, and I don't think that's fair. If I were the programmers, I'd add more monsters between the beginning of the map and the seer, so people couldn't RUN it anymore...I'd rather FIGHT for what I gain, even if it's on a game...

Agreed there. I think what the devs had in mind is that you only need as many infused pieces of armor for as many times as it takes you to complete the primary mission. If it takes 5 tries to complete it, then you will have 5 pieces of infused armor. If you can complete with fewer tries, then you will have fewer pieces of infused armor.

Going on an "infusion run" I think is meant to help out with later missions, not the mission in which you actually get your armor infused. It is definately not necessary have all pieces of armor infused. 1 or 2 seems to do nicely.

Don't change a thing.
It forced me to think "outside the box" and was a fun change of pace

Then just do it four times, or three times... you dont HAVE to do it five times... that sounds like your own mistake...

Besides, there's a bonus in one of the fire missions in which give you another infused piece... i see that as a meaning that you arent suppose to infuse All your armor at once.

**Only thing i see that needs to change, is to be able to infuse pets... and perhaps, after the infusion mission... make the henchman at least HALF infused... i mean... how did the henchman make it to those next missions if they die within two seconds?... makes no sense, how did they get past markis, without even one piece of infusion? Make things more useable...**

Actually I built a team, infused 1 piece of armor each person, got the bonus and beat the mission. I guess you just had bad luck. Also, there ARE other places to infuse your armor if you took the time to explore. The mission is just the easiest place to get it done, since you can blitz to the seer and exploit the cutscene.

UM... YOU CAN GET INFUSED 5 TIMES WITH JUST HENCHMEN
and now because they fixed the infusion process..
(YOUR HENCHMEN HAVE BEEN INFUSED 3 TIMES)
YOU CAN BEAT THE WHOLE LEVEL BY YOURSELF WITHOUT ANYONE ELSE
but only if you are MONK.. HAHAHAHAHHAHAHA

I wrote this in my other post, but i'll write it here too.

One of the most stupid additions to guildwars. or at least a stupid idea to start with.
What is the point of having the Seer that is in Mineral springs, (the other one thats not in the mission) he only does one piece of armour. and it take you an hour or more to reach him, including the amount of times you have to rez and run back to him..because of the 20+ ice imps guarding his cave enterance. Its just easier to do the mission so many times to get all your armour infused. so why add this dude in two locations, how dumb is that.

If you want to give this dude some benifit then allow player to recive a tag in the mission once they have recived there first infusion. thus allowing them never to get another infusion again within that mission. new people to the mission will get the reward, and a tag. but older players who all ready have an infused item will be prevented on getting another due to the tag. This will fix the mission run for infusion, now to the next part:

The dude in minerial springs, when reached offers the player a small mini quest to kill a simular type of boss, like Eledion creature in mission, this creature is of course abit bigger than the last. and he only appears when the player has gotten the quest from the seer in minerial springs. (you could have him spawn near the statue in that cave you walk through to get to the seer in minerial springs) when you kill this near creature boss, a bigger piece pops onto the ground, its of course abit more heavier than the last piece you got when in the mission, so its abit slower walking back to him. anyways when you see him, He should say: "there is enough matieral here to infuse all your remaining armour" player option: Do it!

But you can only recive the total infusion on all your items once you have done the mission of finding the seer, Iron mines of moladune. otherwise he doesnt appear.

And i know, some people get there armour infused then later upgrade there armour loosing all that infusement. well here is a fix to that, as well. When player has complete his mini quest and has returned the second time to see him. because player recently updated there armour, The seer says to the player. "That he is able to re-use some of the remaining material that was leftover from there last infusement. Except due to the amount thats left, it will take careful precision to insfuse the armour correctly. thats when he asks for a fee for using his valuable time to infuse the players equipment.

You could also add a small bonus to your weapon, +4dmg (On successful hit to mussutt creatures) - but to get that bonus you have to pay for it.

Now what do you all think of that?

Hmm.. while I agree that infusion is annoying.

I think it is a definite skill to learn how to run from creatures like that. Perhaps the purpose of that mission is to teach people that?

If you ask me the infusion run as it is seems like an exploit, I highly doubt the developers intented the mission to be exploited in such a way. Storywise it makes no sense and really boils down to a time warp of sorts. The infusion idea is nifty, but they should make it so that one piece of infused armor knocks off like 75% of the mursaat's spell effectiveness. That way the story would make sense, find the seer get mostly protected, fight mursaat. Hard but no impossiible with there spell effectiveness cut by 75% and then kill Markis, done. Less annoying and makes sense story wise.
